2018 CPI Reunion
The Cultural Partnership Initiative (CPI) has hosted overseas reunions for CPI participants every year since 2016 to promote the cooperation among CPI participants as well as between Korea and participating nations. In Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines, the reunion has been held every year since 2016. Thai CPI had the first meeting in 2017 and this year, the reunion in Myanmar has launched for the first time.

CPI Reunion in Thailand
On Friday, November 16, Thai CPI participants gathered to see the "Taste of Gugak" performance of the National Gugak Center of Korea at the Korean Cultural Center in Bangkok. After that, they had their annual meeting at a nearby restaurant.. Natthawee Sodkhomkhum, who had participated in the CPI program in 2011, acted as emcee for the performance, greatly contributing to cultural and artistic exchange between Korea and Thailand.

CPI Reunion in Indonesia
On Saturday, December 8, Indonesian CPI participants came together at the Darmawangsa Hotel in Jakarta for their annual reunion. Including the president of Indonesian CPI alumni, all CPI participants voluntarily organized the program of the reunion, which consisted of Indonesian traditional dance performances, pansori performances, and presentation of CPI related activities.

CPI Reunion in Vietnam
On Thursday, December 13, Vietnamese CPI participants visited the National Folk Museum of Korea's exhibition “Korean Culture Box” held at the Korean Cultural Center in Hanoi. After participating in the experiential program at exhibition, they had their annual meeting near the cultural center.

CPI Reunion in Philippines
On Friday, December 21, at the Marquis Event Place BGC in Manila, the annual reunion of Philippine cultural partners was held in connection with the year-end party hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines.

CPI Reunion in Myanmar
This year, the first reunion of Myanmar CPI participants was held in Yangon. To celebrate the launch of the reunion, officials of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea and Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange also attended the reunion. They interacted with Myanmarese CPI participants and appointed Mr.Thura Takhun as the first president of CPI alumni in Myanmar. At the reunion, Junho Seo, the representative of Space O'Newwall and an expert in artistic exchanges between Korea and Myanmar, made a case presentation on cultural and artistic exchanges between two countries. Not only that, a trio from the creative musical performance group ‘Bulsechul’ offered a congratulatory performance.
It is expected that various international exchanges and cooperation will take place based on active network among CPI participants around the world, including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Myanmar.
