The Body Archive Project(Philippines)
Summary
[Body Archive] is a collaborative learning and youth-for-the-environment program that utilizes dance primarily as a medium to enhance physical, mental and emotional well-being and foster youth-led initiatives towards environmental consciousness, and secures the continuous development of the youth and their communities. It also aims to utilize accessible technology and online platforms to share creative output, document performances, and reinforce environmental awareness and advocacy.
About the Team
[Body Archive] Program is a collaboration among four Filipino contemporary dance artists: Buboy Raquitico, Carissa Adea, Deborah Lemuel, and Sarah Samaniego, who have all been part of the 2020 CPI Program’s exchanges on Dance. Apart from contemporary dance as the common denominator, their individual interests in the environment, mental health, film, digital art and design, community engagement, and teaching have also become motivations to come together for this unique program for/with the youth.
