2019 CPI Program Achievements
The 60 participants of 14 participating organizations in 2019 CPI Program, have presented their achievements through different forms, including performances and academic presentations, allowing the participants to share the results of their efforts during the last five months.
Generally, the institutes can be divided into four areas: Dance, Traditional Arts, Research, and Arts. The seven organizations in the Dance field—namely the Trust Dance Theatre, Seoul Section of the International Dance Council, Sejong University-Multicultural Research Institute—and Traditional Arts—including Jeonju International Sori Festival Organization Committee, Chungnam Arts and Culture Foundation, Andong Festival Tourism Foundation, and Chungbuk People’s Art Federation in Korea—presented their results through a performance.
The performing arts participants created joint creative projects involving dancers and musicians from different countries, and in some cases, presented tangible output such as music, scores, or videos.
Bolstered by the training they received, the Research field participants of the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation, International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region (ICHCAP), National Folk Museum of Korea, and National Library of Korea have presented the results of their research—such as case and comparative studies—about various topics.
Along with a host of other institutes, like the Actors’ Studio Jatury, the creator of Bilingual Theater; AMFEK of Korea National University of Arts, which has a wide range of disciplines like animation, photography, and video; and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, which houses expert curators from different countries, 60 participants from 26 countries produced valuable output in their respective fields.
We hope that these experiences during the last five months remain as valuable assets and treasured memories for the participants, even after their return to their home country.
