International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage
in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO(ICHCAP)
ICHCAP has announced that the CPI program of four CPI participants has been completed. CPI participants were invited and took part in training programs on human resource exchange, aimed at the establishment of the intangible cultural heritage network in the Asia Pacific region for five months. CPI participants from different countries selected the topics of their individual research project through internal discussion and screening. Through their projects, the CPI participants were required to present their respective country's system for the conservation of a specific intangible cultural heritage group that they were interested in along with the current state and application examples of the system. They also investigated the measures for the future sustainable development of the system and its relationship with the intangible cultural heritage group. For the last five months, CPI participants conducted their research by visiting various intangible cultural heritage institutions in Korea and interviewing experts in the field.
The CPI participants from Myanmar, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, and the Philippines are young professionals working for their country's ministry of culture or cultural heritage expert institutions, where they are performing tasks related to intangible cultural heritage and culture. By the completion of the CPI program, they presented their reports on the following topics.
