On-site training in cultural heritage sites and related institutions

For the on-site training, CPI participants visited the Cultural Heritage Administration, several museums, excavation sites and research institutes. In particular, they experienced a practical field education that went beyond a simple cultural exploration at the National Museum of Korea, looking around its storage and conservation science center. They also attended the International Forum on Intangible Heritage, the UNESCO Chair International Conference, the International Symposium on Ssireum (Korean Traditional Wrestling), and the KOICA Forum on the Achievements of the Conservation and Restoration Project of the Preah Pithu Temple Group in Angkor Wat. Through the forums, they gained insight into the current issues and international trends on cultural heritage.
