QPlease introduce yourself briefly.
My name is Kaory Lee. I come from Laos. And I'm a dancer.
QWhat activities have you been doing in your home country so far?
I've participated in various performances not only in my country but also in other countries includes Vietnam, Thailand, and China. In Laos, I've performed at the National day show and the ceremony at the embassy of Philippines, showing Lao traditional dances.
QHow did you come to participate in the CPI?
Vientiane Grace Ballet informed the CPI program to my school(National School of Arts) and Director of Vientiane Grace Ballet have recommended me to participate in the CPI program. I decided to participate in the CPI program since I have much interest in Korea and Korea culture.
QWhat activities are you doing with Trust Dance Company?
I learn modern and contemporary dances from Trust Dance Company's dancers. It's my first time to experience contemporary dance, so it's a bit difficult but I'm very excited to learn and dance with Trust.
Q2018 CPI orientation & cultural field trip were held in Gwangju in July. How did you feel about attending the event and meeting all the participants?
I'm very happy to have joined this CPI program. I feel so interested and very impressed because I could see the new things and got the new experiences in Korea. And by attending CPI orientation in Gwangju, I could know more about Korean culture. I'm glad to meet other people come from many countries.
QPlease tell us your thoughts on participating in the CPI program and your plans during your stay in Korea.
As a participant of the CPI program, I'm very excited to have an international cultural exchange experience. It's a really good opportunity. My plan in Korea is these.
First, I want to learn Korean languages and learn about Korean culture by travelling various places and native attractions in Korea. Also I want to learn modern and contemporary dances. I'll do my best to learning Korean languages and contemporary dances.
